Dusk Cherry Stair Treads — Made From LifeProof Flooring
Couldn't load pickup availability
A premium handcrafted stair tread made from real LifeProof Dusk Cherry vinyl flooring (22 mil)—designed to create a bold, seamless transition between floors and stairs. Dark flooring colors demand precise stair matching, where seams and exposed cores are especially noticeable.
Our Off-the-Shelf stair treads are fabricated using a one-piece construction, permanently fusing the plank surface and nosing together. This process preserves the original factory texture, embossing, and color—eliminating visible seams and exposed core material common with stair tread kits.
Real photos coming soon — we only photograph completed, handcrafted treads made from your flooring sample.

Terms and Conditions
By placing an order with Salty Custom Vinyl, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
Custom Orders, Refunds, and Exchanges
All sales are final once your order enters production due to the custom nature of our products. Refunds or exchanges are available only in case of shipping damage or incorrect items.
To address such issues, please contact us within 10 days of delivery at 801-808-8831 or saltycustomvinyl@gmail.com. We’ll work with you to provide a resolution, either through replacements or, if necessary, a refund. Please carefully inspect your items upon delivery and report any damage immediately. Claims made after 10 days of delivery may not qualify for
replacements.
Measurements and Customization
Accurate measurements are the responsibility of the customer. Please carefully review your order details before submission. For the width of the nosing/tread, we typically send the treads 2–3 inches longer
(unless otherwise specified) to allow for comfortable template transfers and cuts. The depth of the stairs must be provided by the customer.
Salty Custom Vinyl cannot be held responsible for errors resulting from incorrect customer-provided measurements. By placing an order,
you confirm that all details are correct.
Production Timelines, Delivery, and Refund Policy
Production begins when all materials and measurements are received. Current lead times are:
*Vinyl orders: 6–8 weeks.
* Laminate and temperature resistant orders: 9–12 weeks.
While we prioritize replacement orders if damage occurs during shipping, refunds or replacements cannot be issued based solely on project timelines. Delivery dates are estimates and not guarantees. We recommend scheduling installation only after receiving and inspecting your
order.
If your order arrives damaged, retain the items and notify us promptly. Shipping carriers may request an inspection as part of the claims process, and their decision will be final.
Handling and Care
Tread covers and nosing are durable once properly installed but require careful handling before installation:
* Avoid applying stress to bends or unsupported areas.
* Always support the nosing during cutting and use a sharp blade.
* Do not store or expose items to extreme temperatures.
If you or your installer have any questions about handling,
please contact us for guidance.
Shipping Insurance
We offer 'InsureShield® Shipping Insurance' at checkout for additional protection. If you choose not to purchase this insurance, any loss or damage in transit by the shipping carrier will only be covered up to $100.
Claims and Damaged Items
Report any shipping damage promptly by contacting us at 801-808-8831 or saltycustomvinyl@gmail.com. Retain all damaged items and packaging until the claims process is complete, as carriers may require an inspection. Once a claim is filed, their decision will be final. Claims must be initiated within 10 days of delivery.
Structural Integrity and Durability
The key to a long-lasting tread is the proper heating and cooling of the material during production. If the temperature gradient is too steep at any point, the structural integrity of the core can be compromised. Unlike most other options, our unique diffused heating process ensures the core remains structurally sound, enhancing both durability and performance.
This process is why we confidently say your stairs will not only match your floors in appearance but also in functionality and durability.
Durability and performance ultimately depend on these three factors:
*The quality and structural integrity of your staircase.
* The properties and specifications of the plank material provided.
* The quality of the installation.
To illustrate: Two products may look identical when new, but over time, the superior quality of one will become evident. This highlights the
importance of proper materials and processes.
Given that these factors are outside our control, we are unable to offer a warranty. However, we are committed to quality and fairness. Visit our reviews page to see how highly we value customer satisfaction.
